Randy Christensen

Founder of Integrated NeuroHealth

Hey there, I’m Randy. My company helps our clients optimize their brains with Neurofeedback and talk therapy. We collaborate with doctors and mental health professionals to treat problems of brain dysregulation including the anxiety-depression spectrum, ADHD, addictions, PTSD, behavior disorders, insomnia, eating disorders, migraines, seizures, autism, concussion, and emotional disturbances.

Research has shown and continues to show that Neurofeedback is incredibly effective in reducing the negative impacts of these types of brain issues. The American Academy of Pediatrics has even determined that NFB is a level two evidenced based practice in the treatment of ADHD.

Psychotherapy heals the mind and Neurofeedback heals the brain. Combined, we can target the problem at the source and create long-term benefits.

Neurofeedback is EEG biofeedback. It’s like a gym for your mind.

A training session consists of sensors being placed on the scalp and then sending signals to our high tech software. These sensors record electrical impulses within the brain and pinpoints where there may be dysregulation. This provides us with real time information on brain activity.

The brain's job is to adapt to changes in the body and function to the best of its ability in any given scenario. But sometimes, it gets pushed out of a healthy pattern into a negative one. It gets stuck. A dysregulated brain tends to be over-stimulated when it is supposed to be calm, and under-stimulated when it is supposed to be attentive.

If the brain doesn’t correct itself, these unhealthy patterns become the new normal. Brain training works by encouraging and reinforcing healthy brainwave patterns. The brain wants to operate at its best level; sometimes, it just needs a bit of help to do so.

At Integrated NeuroHealth, we work closely with clinicians incorporating NFB training into their treatment. When your brain is working properly, it allows you to change behaviors and thoughts, leading to a freer and more balanced life.

Daryl Lytle is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), a certified Trauma Specialist and is Nationally Board Certified in Neurofeedback Therapy (BCN) through BCIA.

He knows that counselling can help us work through our problems and cope with symptoms. But sometimes it doesn’t matter how hard we try, talk therapy just isn’t enough. Sometimes our brains get stuck in negative thought patterns and just won’t cooperate.

In these cases, combining talk therapy and neuroscience can lead to incredible results. These types of mental health issues are connected to the brain, so by healing the mind and the brain, we can get to the core of the problem. Through Neurofeedback, you can learn how to train and balance your brain to gain control over your symptoms, improve functioning, and enjoy the peace you deserve.
